Renewable Energy Technology

Innovating against the odds

We are in the process of helping to reduce Saiccor’s landfill waste in line with  2025 targets and regulations. We support Sappi’s vision of zero waste to landfill and plan to improve their carbon footprint.

Alien Fuel developed a technology to process industrial waste like sludge, fines, slivers, knots, and bark into fuel briquettes.

SSC Saiccor Mill
Gondwana Game Reserve

Our partnership with Gondwana conservation foundation is aimed to convert their Black Wattle (alien invasive) into biomass fuel. The briquettes created from this reserve and the surrounding areas are used to create steam for industrial companies in Mossel Bay, George, and other places along the Garden Route.

Additionally,  AFG creates pellets for household use in closed combustion stoves. The advantage of this product is that it burns longer than normal firewood.  This allows us to contribute to reducing CO2 emission on a micro level as well.

Ceres Fruit Processors

Ceres Fruit Processors (Pty) Ltd, of the Ceres Group, have been using our Alien Fuel® briquettes as a replacement of coal in their boiler unit since April 2022.

CFP currently use our briquettes in conjunction with coal at their production facility located in Worcester, Western Cape. This lowers the coal dependency and carbon footprint of their processes to produce fruit and vegetable juice concentrates and purees.

Alien Fuel winner in the Sustainable Energy category – Climate 360 competition

Alien Fuel is very proud to announce that we won the Climate 360 competition in the Sustainable Energy category. The prize that we received is invaluable, we now have the opportunity to present our company and value proposition to the International Energy Agencies in Brussels (Belgium) and Paris (France).

We will meet with decision-makers and learn more about climate change projects in Europe. This is an opportunity to learn, make new connections, showcase our innovative project.
